Manchester City Women will kick off their 2016 season with home friendlies against Swedish sides FC Rosengard and Pitea IF at the Academy Stadium.

The games, which will take place on Sunday 7 February, 1pm KO, and Thursday 25 February, 1pm KO and Seasoncard holders of MCWFC and MCFC are invited to attend for FREE.

Gavin Makel, Head of Women’s Football at MCWFC, said: “In addition to three domestic competitions we take on a new challenge this year with the Champions League, and preparation for that is key.

“Playing against European sides with the level of experience of Rosengard and Pitea IF will be an excellent way to begin our pre-season.”
